The prints displayed here are printed with Epson K3 UltraChrome inks on Epson UltraPremium Luster paper. These ink/paper combinations have been tested by Wilhelm Research (www.wilhelm-research.com) and print longevity — the display time before noticeable fading or color-balance changes occur — is estimated as:
Color prints — unframed 48 years; framed under glass 71 years; framed under UV glass 165 years.
Black and White prints — unframed 58 years, framed under glass 95 years, framed under UV glass 218 years.
My Hands of the Fisherman framed prints are on Epson Ultrasmooth Fine Art Paper, with Wilhelm Research longevity estimates of 205 years as framed, over 300 years if framed under UV glass, or 138 years unframed.
